Learning German at New Zealand Universities

Studying German at university, that’s a great idea and a smart career move.

Four universities in New Zealand are currently offering German as a subject, thus opening doors for their students into Europe’s biggest education market and economy. German is vital for students from such diverse fields as Music and Engineering, Chemistry and Philosophy, and many more. Students opt for German as part of their BA, but an increasing number choose to enroll in a conjoint degree with German as one of their subjects.

University of Auckland

The University of Auckland offers German as a major at BA, BA Honours, master and doctorate level. Additionally, German can be included in a Certificate or Diploma of Languages. German language classes are taught at all levels from A1 to C1. Auckland has several partner universities in Germany.
